On a visit to PAD’s “150th Anniversary Village” on 2 October 2025, the Deputy General Manager of the Port Authority of Douala, Mr. Charles Michaux Moukoko Njoh, spent quite some time at the stand of the Douala Maritime Museum.
He was received by officials from the Museum, who gave him a guided tour of the objects on display, including ship replicas, archival photographs, and historical artifacts, all of which showcased Cameroon’s port and maritime history. Their discussions provided an opportunity to enlighten the Deputy GM on the missions of the Douala Maritime Museum.
Mr. Charles Michaux Moukoko Njoh praised the efforts of the Douala Maritime Museum while underscoring its contribution to the conservation of Cameroon’s maritime heritage and the education of the general public.
Besides being a heritage to visit, the Douala Maritime Museum also stands out in the quality of its attractions since the launch of the 150th Anniversary Village of the Port of Douala - Bonaberi. Its beautifully decorated stand adorned with enchanting artefacts, has been attracting hundreds of visitors daily, making it a must-visit stand. Many visitors stop there to take pictures, making the stand a place for discoveries, warmth and sharing.
