CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

On Friday, 12 June 2026, the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, paid a working visit to the Head Office of the National Observatory for Climate Change (ONACC) in Yaounde, where he was received by ONACC’s General Manager, Mr. Joseph Armathe Amougou.

 

In the presence of their respective close aides, both officials discussed avenues for collaboration between their institutions in areas such as the carbon market, climate finance, ecological transition, and carbon footprint monitoring for transport and logistics activities.  

 

CNSC’s General Manager highlighted the potentials of the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) in the monitoring of cargo flows. His counterpart from ONACC, in turn, underscored the growing importance of environmental data in supporting public policies and economic activities. 

 

Following this meeting, both officials agreed to pursue their collaboration with technical consultations through which other avenues for collaboration could be identified.
