CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The 9th edition of the ‘Fun and educational holidays’ programme at the Douala Maritime Museum (DMM) ended on Friday, 16 August 2024.

Some one hundred kids between the ages of 5 and 15 enthralled the audience, most of whom were their parents. Mr. Landry Massoma, Service Head at the Museum, presided over the closing ceremony.

All through the ceremony, the kids, dressed in traditional regalia that reflect Cameroon's cultural heritage, made presentations on all they had learned during their six weeks of training at the Museum. Each of their performances received a standing ovation from the audience.

With the guidance of cultural instructors, the kids showed off their mastery of traditional values through song, dance, drama, painting and good behaviour.

At the close of this very successful celebration, the parents, kids and instructors were all visibly satisfied and eagerly looked forward to the 2025 edition.
