Festivities to mark the 150th anniversary of the Port of Douala - Bonaberi kicked off today, 20 September 2025 in Douala. This grand fitness walk took off at the Besseke Boulevard, wound through the streets of Douala and back, pulling a crowd of about two thousand people.

The Governor of the Littoral Region, Mr. Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua, led the grand fitness event, and was joined by workers from several public and private enterprises as well as Cameroon’s international trade partners.

The Cameroon National Shippers’ Council, (CNSC), was present at the fitness walk with a strongly mobilised staff, symbolic of the social cohesion and popular mobilisation toward the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Port of Douala - Bonaberi under the theme: “One River, One Territory, One History, One Port, One Future”.

By attending the event, CNSC demonstrated the importance the institution attaches to foreign trade, a key factor of Cameroon’s port and maritime history.
