After meeting on 13 May 2022, the stakeholders in the cash crop sector, shippers and transporters met again on 1 June 2022 at the CNSC in a meeting coordinated by CNSC's Deputy General Manager, Mr. Younouss Soungui.

The first consultation meeting failed to produce the expected results, in other words, the determination of a minimum rate. Back on the negotiating table today, the two parties agreed on a minimum rate for the transportation of cash crops.

The consultation meeting held between stakeholders of the cash crop sector with shippers and transporters is the last of a series of meetings held at the CNSC since 6 May on the recommendation of the Minister of Trade, Mr. Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana. With over 200 persons in attendance, a total of seven meetings were scheduled with stakeholders from the livestock, wood, brewery products, bulk commodities and cash crop industries.
