CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

On the sidelines of the 5th edition of the Chad–Cameroon–CAR Tripartite Forum holding in N’Djamena, the Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe, paid a working visit to the Far North Regional Office of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) in Kousseri on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

The Minister’s delegation comprised Cameroon’s Ambassador to Chad, Mr. Cyrus Ngo’o, Director General of the Port Authority of Douala, and Mr. August Mbappe Penda, General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council, as well as stakeholders in the transport and logistics sectors of both States.

The delegation was given a guided tour of the facility by Mr. Kassala Hamidou, CNSC’s Far North Regional Branch Manager, during which the Minister of Transport discovered the amenities of this logistics platform constructed by the CNSC and inaugurated in September 2023 to serve actors of Cameroon’s foreign trade.

The construction of the Kousseri logistics platform aimed to strengthen sub-regional integration by enhancing the Douala-N’djamena road corridor which connects Cameroon to Chad. The facility offers a decent and safe environment for road transporters and their goods.

As a reminder, the CNSC has three other trucker facilities in Dibamba (Littoral Region); Ngoulentang (Centre Region); and Garoua-Boulai (East Region). Two more facilities are under construction in Garoua (North Region) and Ngaoundere (Adamawa Region).
