The Douala Maritime Museum, an achievement of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), was honoured by a visit from a delegation of four Brazilian naval officers today, 23 August 2024.
They were received by CNSC’s General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, who gave them the privilege of being their tour guide. The delegation, headed by Captain Marcello Ferreira Da Cruz, has been in Cameroon since 16 August 2024 as part of a cooperation mission between the Republic of Cameroon and Brazil for the capacity reinforcement of the marine corps of both nations.
The guests were particularly marveled by the immersive experience of the museum’s Maritime Navigation Simulator, Storm Room and by the different exhibitions highlighting the evolution of navigation and trade along Cameroon’s coast.
These Brazilian navy officers praised the quality and finesse of the exhibitions, applauding the commitment of CNSC’s General Manager to this initiative which aims to present the Douala Maritime Museum as a touristic, cultural and educative attraction.
