The CNSC Board Chairman who was in Douala to chair a board meeting received a memorable welcome

Since his appointment by Presidential Decree in 2015 to the high office of Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Mr. Joseph Beti Assomo, CNSC Board Chair, was at the CNSC for the first time to preside over the institution’s 31st board meeting.

It was therefore a wonderful privilege for the CNSC staff to meet Mr. Beti Assomo in his dual capacity as Defence Minister and Board Chair on the occasion of the 31st Board meeting that held in Douala on 21 June 2018. He was greeted on a red carpet with a bouquet of flowers, handshakes, group photographs and a guard of honour. Everything was carefully blinded to reserve a warm and memorable stay to Minister Beti Assomo who was visibly relaxed and happy to meet his CNSC family.

The event was even more colourful as the staff turned out beautifully draped in CNSC's fabric. The last meeting with CNSC's staff was in 2014 when Minister Beti Assomo was still the Governor of the Littoral Region in Douala. "The CNSC management and staff had really been waiting for such an occasion to communion with him after a long while," Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, CNSC General Manager commented.
