The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) is taking part in the 2023 edition of the Central Africa Annual Cross-Border Fair (FOTRAC) officially launched on 20 July 2023, in the tri-border city of Kye Ossi. This marks the 14th edition of the sub-regional tade fair.
The opening ceremony, attended by authorities from Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, was presided over by Prof. Metou Brusil Miranda, Secretary General at the Ministry of Trade. In addition to the host nations (Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon), participants from other countries such as Chad, Congo, Senegal and Mali are present at the FOTRAC 2023 rendez-vous.
The theme for the 2023 edition is "pursuing Africa's socio-economic integration with the AfCFTA and its resilience in the face of multifaceted violence due to security, health and food crises, as well as climate change".
Scheduled to run from 17 to 30 July 2023, this year's edition features a wide range of activities that will take participants to three border towns, namely Kye-Ossi in Cameroon, Ebebiyin in Equatorial Guinea and Bitam in Gabon.
