On 28 September 2024, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) took part in a sports walk through the streets of Yaoundé to celebrate the 3rd edition of the National Peace Days in Cameroon.
This peace walk was organised by the National Unity Foundation (NUF) and rallied about 500 participants from different walks of life. The CNSC was ably represented by staff from its Centre Regional Office, under the leadership of the branch manager, Mr. Philippe Olivier Owono Bob.
As an advocate of peace and unity, CNSC's General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, supported the initiative by offering T-shirts bearing the words ‘For Peace in Cameroon/ Pour la paix au Cameroun’.
Following a brief warm-up session, participants set off for a 10km walk across the city of Yaoundé. The chosen route went from the 20th May Boulevard to the Independence Square, where these compatriots sang the national anthem, a symbol of National Unity.
