The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, and his counterpart of the Single Window for Foreign Trade Operations (GUCE), Mr. Isidore Biyiha, officially signed a collaboration and information exchange agreement during a ceremony that took place at the Douala Maritime Museum today, 5 November 2025. The event was attended by officials from both institutions.
Through this agreement, both institutions seek to combine efforts in training, awareness-raising and communication with actors of the logistics chain and also guarantee the security of foreign trade procedures.
Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, speaking at the event, stated that “CNSC and GUCE share a common vision; that of contributing to trade facilitation in Cameroon’s ports, airports, and border posts, while enhancing the country's competitiveness by facilitating trade flows”.
Beyond the technical aspects of their missions, the signing of this agreement paves the way for closer collaboration between public administrations, specialised bodies and private-sector actors. For both institutions, this agreement is a step further in the implementation of the national programme for the digitalisation of foreign trade procedures.
