CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

On 12 March 2026, female staff of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC), who go by the appellation CNSC Ladies, donated foodstuffs and other items to about thirty widows in Ngoulentang during a ceremony held on the esplanade of the CNSC Ngoulentang Trucker Accommodation Centre.

The ceremony was chaired by Mrs. Ondigui Marie Adeline, Divisional Delegate for the Empowerment of Women and the Family for the Nyong and Mfoumou. She was flanked by Mrs. Stella Nkama, President of CNSC Ladies, and Mr. Ekobena Arnaud, Service Head of the CNSC Ngoulentang Trucker Accommodation Centre. The widows, recipients of the day, were equally present.

Seizing the moment, Mrs. Ondigui Marie Adeline expressed deep gratitude to Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, CNSC’s General Manager, for this landmark gesture towards these widows. Each widow received some rice, cooking oil, sugar, salt, sardines, cubes of soap, detergent, matchsticks and iron sponges.

To express their gratitude, the widows danced to the Mendjang, a dance common to the locality. This act of charity is the last in a series of initiatives by CNSC Ladies to mark the celebration of the 41st edition of International Women’s Rights Day this year.
